…for the first time in two years! Well, on a vacation outside of California that includes a flight, that is. We’re heading back east to Massachusetts to visit friends and family, take pictures and enjoy ourselves.
In the meantime, I’m planning on returning to blogging when we come back, hopefully in the next couple of weeks! I’ve been busy during this hiatus, and posting Diwa & Kaffi made me realize how much I’ve missed posting here and at Walk in Silence (not to mention working on the 750Words.com site for daily writing exercise!). I haven’t decided on a solid posting schedule, but once all that has been ironed out, I will let you all know.
As you might have no doubt guessed, I’m a bit distressed by the multiple punches of recent news both national and international. I’m busy writing a new insert chapter for Theadia. I’m also a bit distracted as I have a new part-time Day Job lined up and I’m having one of those waves of overthinking worry because they haven’t yet given me a solid start date and schedule and my brain is telling me they did and I just misunderstood or I never received it. So yeah, I don’t have anything planned here today.
On a lighter note, here’s a picture of some recent daffodils we picked up at the grocery store. The light is natural (kitchen window yesterday afternoon) and I’m using a fun and super cheap macro lens that I can clip onto my phone. [You can find it on Amazon here. Thanks to BBC’s Winterwatch for bringing it to my attention!]
Here’s to hoping my brain is on a bit tighter next week.
Hey all, sorry for the lack of updates both here and at Walk in Silence….I’ll be off my normal schedule for a bit while I continue focusing on the Theadia rewrite and the final act of Queen Ophelia. Once I’ve got things under control again I’ll have more to provide.
Doing a fly-by today and tomorrow, as I am getting my COVID booster shot today and will most likely be out of commission tomorrow from the effects. I also need to head to the post office to drop off a few Christmas packages. Oh, and I also need to put up our tree today, which I didn’t get around to doing yesterday because I’d spent most of the afternoon watching Episode 3 of The Beatles: Get Back.
