Still here, just feeling loopy

I’ve been doing 5:30am opens all week while the head bookkeeper is out, and I’m so not used to it. Thankfully I’ve been very particular about balancing my energy levels and sleep patterns, so I’m not so much exhausted as just using my brain just a bit too much. Who knew that Q4 retail could use up so many mental spoons? Heh.

Still, I’m managing to slowly slog through the parts of Theadia that I’m working on. It’s taking forever, but I’m bound and determined to get this dang thing out one way or another!

Fly-by: brb, being lazy

I’ll cop to it: I took a few lazy days off this week and hardly got anything done other than the daily words and some house errands. Sure, I feel a little guilty about it, but it’s not often that I allow myself to have absolutely zero on my To-Do list. I sometimes have to remind myself that I need to do this now and again as part of the recharge process.

See you again on Monday!

Fly-by: Nothing much, just busy

I’m working on Theadia and I’m a few chapters in already, so that’s a good sign. I still need to fix things here and there, and I do need to insert a new chapter or two here and there to expand the cast more, but for the most part the current draft is looking good. Most of my creative focus has been there these days, so my blogging may be scattershot for a little while until I feel I’m better able to hold onto a schedule.

Thanks for your patience!

Fly-by: keeping busy and trilogy thoughts

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates this week. I’ve been primarily focusing on the last quarter of the Trilogy Remaster work for A Division of Souls and it’s taking up all my writing time at the moment. However, I’m on the final stretch, a good couple of months ahead of time! Woo! I’m still on track for the September rerelease!

Speaking of which, I assume you’re wondering if I’m going to follow through and remaster the other two books in the trilogy, and I would say I’m 99% certain that I will indeed be working on them sometime in the future! Unlike this one, however, I’m probably not going to stick to the same exact release dates as the originals. Why? Basically because I really do need to get cracking on Theadia, which has sadly fallen by the wayside over the last couple of months!

So yeah, hopefully I’ll have my head on straight come next week and we’ll be back to normal programming! See you soon!

Fly-by: where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing

It’s been a busy couple of months here, and I suppose it’s finally time to reveal why I’ve been MIA here at the blogs. The short version? We’re moving!

The slightly longer version is that said moving has involved all sorts of paperwork, banking, thinning out of stuff we no longer want, packing stuff we want to keep, setting appointments to get utilities up and running, more paperwork, and shopping, all while working the Day Job, and that’s left me with not that much time to work on writing, let alone posting blog entries or even getting any daily stuff done on 750Words. [There’s also the fact that I just happened to pack away my journals as well, so those haven’t been updated for some time either.]

It’s going to take a bit longer before I’m back up and running again, alas. I’ve been sneaking in some editing of A Division of Souls when I can just so I don’t fall behind on my planned ‘remaster’ release schedule, but that’s about all I can muster at this point.

So yes, I’m still here! Hopefully within a few more weeks things will be back to normal. Thanks for your patience!

Fly-by: A new chapter…?

Sorry for yet another fly-by, but I’ve been busy with IRL stuff (positive stuff, I promise!) these last couple of weeks, and it’s finally reached a point where things are solidifying into really cool future plans! I’m still being a bit vague about it for the time being until we make it official, but warning you now that my blog schedule might be a bit inconsistent for the next few months because of it.

In the meantime, I’m looking for a new writing nook name. I’ve had the Belfry, Arkham West and Spare Oom. Any suggestions?

Fly-by: things happening

Good things, mind you, but things IRL that need my attention, so I haven’t been able to spend much time focusing on the blogging this past week. I only have so many brain cells and available spoons before I call it and retire for the evening. Thankfully I am keeping enough of a reserve where I can still spend a lot of time working on the Trilogy Remaster, so that has not fallen by the wayside at all!

Hopefully we’ll be back on track in the next week or so!

Fly-by: brb, kinda busy

WHOOF. It’s been a busy couple of weeks despite the slowdown at the Day Job. I’ve been working multiple midshifts while still managing to squeeze in writing sessions, blog entries and cat distractions, so I’m feeling a bit tired and sleepy. I’m still getting a lot done, but every now and again something needs to temporarily fall by the wayside so I can remain caught up.

I should be back on Monday, thanks for your patience!

You’re a regular wreck with a crick in your neck

Sorry for the lack of exciting posts lately. Between having jury duty and having neck pain that doesn’t seem to want to go away (I’m 99% certain it’s from strain), I’m just not firing on all cylinders this week. The former is done and forgotten, and hopefully the latter will disappear soon enough if I do my stretches and work on better posture.

Until then, I’ll see you next week!
